Each relationship between two persons is absolutely unique. That is why you cannot love two people the same. It simply is not possible. You love each person differently because of who they are and the uniqueness that they draw out of you. And the more you know another, the richer the colors of that relationship. (pg. 213)

"I think Emily Dickinson cut herself off from the world because that was the only way she could have a spiritual life that wasn't distorted by other people's expectations of her. (pg. 184)

Love is a mix tape
by: Rob Sheffield
Sometimes you lie in a strange room, in a strange person's home, and you feel yourself bending out of shape. Melting, touching something hot, something that warps you in drastic and probably irreversible ways you won't get to take stock of until it's too late. (pg. 63)

"I remember love. It's what I have to keep on reminding myself. It's funny how you can forget everything except people loving you. Maybe that's why humans find it so hard getting over love affairs. It's not the pain they're getting over, it's the love." (pg. 262)

What I do best
One of the things that I do best is make our family's "who stole the cake." I make it so well that I have people begging me to make them and I even have a few people who beg me to send them in the mail. They believe it will truly be one of their happiest days. It makes me feel good that I can make something that people really enjoy!
